FBISE Conduct of Partwise SSC Examination

NOTIFICATION

Subject:     CONDUCT OF PARTWISE SSC EXAMINATION

Implementing the decision to hold partwise SSC examinations as intimated through Notification No.3-14/FBISE/RESH/96 dated 20 September 2007, Class-IX examination was successfully conducted earlier this year and, as a sequel, Class-X annual examination will be held in the year 2009 as per enclosed SSC Part-II Syllabus. The booklets already provided, vide FBISE’s letter No.2-8/FBISE/RESH/269 dated 08-05-2006, may be consulted for supplementary information. It is reiterated that the style and pattern of the questions and the format of the question papers will remain unchanged and in conformity with the model papers already provided for the composite SSC examination with               33 per cent open choice in sections “B” and “C” combined, except for the papers of languages. However, Paper A and Paper B of English (Compulsory) and Urdu (Compulsory) shall become Paper-I and Paper-II for class IX and class X, respectively, with bifurcated contents of text and grammar. For these two subjects and those involving practicals, newly prepared model question papers have been given in the booklet forwarded herewith.

(For institutions within Pakistan)

It is hereby notified for general information that the SECONDARY SCHOOL CERTIFICATE (SSC) PART-I&II ANNUAL EXAMINATION, 2010 of the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad will be held with effect from Thursday, the 25th March 2010.

2.         The schedule for receipt of Admission Forms along with Admission Fee in the Board’s Office is as under:-

4.         The ex/private candidates of Islamabad/Rawalpindi may remit their fee either by Pay Order/Bank Draft or directly in the Board’s account through Bank Challan at HBL (FBISE Branch) H-8/4, Islamabad. All other institutions/candidates of places other than Islamabad/Rawalpindi should remit their fee only through Pay Order/Bank Draft in favour of the Controller of Examinations (Conduct), Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad drawnable at Islamabad and must provide the following information on the back side of the Pay Order/Bank Draft:-

5.         Fee from foreign national student(s) studying in Pakistan institutions affiliated with Federal Board shall be charged examination fee at par with candidates of overseas Pakistani institutions. In such cases, the prescribed fee may be got confirmed from FBISE, Islamabad.

6.         CHANGE OF SUBJECT(S)/GROUP WILL NOT BE ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AFTER THE ADMISSION FORMS HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED.

7.         The candidate taking alternative subjects, i.e. English Advance/Geography of Pakistan/Urdu Salees etc must attach an attested copy of the permission letter issued by the Board with the Admission Form. Regular candidate(s) must enclose photocopy of the Registration Card(s)/Result Card(s) with Admission Form(s). Fresh private candidate(s) must attach original School Leaving Certificate of the School last attended by him/her not after 31st December during the current academic year. In case of non-schooling, an affidavit be submitted on a stamp paper of Rs.10/- attested by the Oath Commissioner along with a copy of the Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Committee/Union Council or Form “B” etc in proof of his/her Date of Birth.

8.         Private candidates who are residing in territorial jurisdiction of FBISE may appear in the examination from the Federal Board. However, they shall not be allowed to offer any subject(s) not offered by the affiliated institution(s).

9.         Admission Form must be completed in all respects. The Form with two (02) photographs, one attested and one un-attested (for both male and female candidates) pasted on the Admission Form should bear the attestation of the respective Head of the institution affiliated with the Federal Board.

10.        a.         The candidate(s) who wish to improve their grade/marks should fill in the Admission Form(s) along with the improvement application form(s), which can be obtained from the Board’s office on payment of Rs. 10/-.  The Admission Form is also available for download at FBISE web-site www.fbise.edu.pk.  In this case, the cost of Admission Form i.e. Rs. 10/- will have to be remitted along with admission fee.

b.         If a candidate after having appeared in SSC part-I examination intends to repeat all papers of SSC part-I, he/she may do so after getting admission by canceling his previous result of SSC part-I.

c.         Facility of appearing in upto two papers of part-I along with part-II papers, is provided for which papers of part-I will have to be indicated in the respective column under para 17 of admission form. He/she will pay fee of both the parts.

11.        The failure candidates of SSC Supplementary Examination, 2009 may also submit their Admission Forms according to the same schedule. However, those candidates whose result is declared late by the Board may submit their Admission Forms with normal fee within 15 days from the date of declaration of their results, but before commencement of the Examination positively.

12.        Candidates of Gilgit-Baltistan should submit their Admission Forms to FBISE’s Sub Office, Gilgit, as per admission schedule.

13.        ALL THE HEADS OF AFFILIATED INSTITUTIONS ARE REQUESTED TO ENSURE THAT THE PARTICULARS OF CANDIDATES ON THE ADMISSION FORMS ARE RECORDED AS PER THEIR REGISTRATION CARDS.

  1. The amount may be remitted through T.T for credit to FBISE Account No. 50002-0 at the Habib Bank Limited, FBISE Branch, H-8/4, Islamabad (Pakistan).  The nature of fee should be specified in the covering letter.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I take this opportunity to inform you that the panel of Practical Examiners for SSC Annual and Supplementary Examination, 2010 is under preparation.

2.                 You may appreciate that the Federal Board is reliant on your co-operation in the shape of your considerate recommendation of honest and hardworking persons from amongst teaching faculty, which would go a long way in further improving the quality of education being imparted by the institutions affiliated with the Federal Board.

3.                 I therefore, feel obliged to invite your sagacious recommendations from amongst your teaching staff, (keeping in view teacher(s) updated experience /ability in the subject(s) for which he/she is being recommended) on the prescribed proforma enclosed, at the earliest but not later than 09-01-2010 (photocopies of the proforma may be used if needed). You are requested to please forward the proforma under a covering letter with preferably                 NAME STAMP on it.

4.                 Further, names of only those teachers be recommended who have been teaching the subject to class         9th and 10th during the session 2009-2010.

Age relaxation to Hafiz-i-Quran during admission

n pursuance of Curriculum Wing’s letter No.F.3-4/2000-IE-IV, dated 08.08.2002, it is notified for information of all concerned that the Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Education, has decided to relax age limit by three years for admission to Hafiz-e-Quran in educational and professional institutions of the country. The decision/ instructions may be complied with in letter and spirit please.

NOTIFICATION

It is notified for the general information of all concerned that a facility of improving grade/marks is being extended to the candidates by allowing them to appear in upto two subjects/papers of their choice and at the same time retaining the earlier policy of keeping the option open for the candidates to appear in Part-I or Part-II or in both the parts/entire examination within one year of passing relevant examination.

2.                     This supercedes previous notification No.FBISE/CE/2007/373 dated 17th February 2007 and shall come into effect from the date of declaration of results of the SSC and HSSC annual examinations 2007.
